Do I need a 3D model or design file?
No. If you have a file, send it. If you do not, send a sketch, a photo, or measurements and describe what the piece needs to do. We can help turn your idea into a file we can make. See what to send without a file.
What kind of file should I send?
For 3D printing we accept STL, 3MF, STEP and OBJ. For laser engraving and cutting we accept SVG, DXF, AI, PDF and PNG (PNG for engraved artwork only, not cut lines). If you are unsure whether your file will work, email it anyway and we will let you know. Our file prep guide has general tips.
How much does it cost?
Every job is quoted individually, because the price depends on your file, the material, the size and the quantity. Send us the details on the quote page and we will reply with a quote.
How long will it take?
It depends on the job. If you have a deadline, include it in your quote request so we can tell you up front whether we can meet it.
Which service do I need?
If it has depth and shape, 3D printing. If it is a flat shape cut from a sheet, laser cutting. If it is text or artwork marked onto a surface, laser engraving. See our services, or just describe the piece and we will suggest an approach.
What materials do you work with?
For 3D printing, filaments from PLA all the way up to carbon fiber filled engineering materials: PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, TPU, PC, nylon, and carbon fiber or glass fiber filled grades. For laser work, wood, acrylic, leather, fabric, paper and EVA foam (cut and engrave), glass, ceramic and coated metal (engrave), and bare metal marking and thin metal cutting on our fiber laser. That is what we can work with, not an in-stock list. See machines and materials for the machines and their size limits.
Can you make just one piece?
Yes. We make custom parts and custom pieces, whether you need a single one or more. Tell us the quantity when you ask for a quote.
Where are you located? Do you ship?
We are in Austin, Texas. We can meet up locally in the Austin area, or ship anywhere in the United States. We do not ship internationally. We arrange the details with you when you approve your quote.
Is there anything you will not make?
We do not make illegal items.
My file is too big to email. What should I do?
Upload it to a file sharing service such as Google Drive or Dropbox and paste the share link into your email.
Do you track visitors to this website?
Only to count visits. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which reports things like page views, referring sites and page load times. It does not use cookies or local storage and does not build a profile of you. There are no advertising scripts, no tracking cookies and no contact form. See the privacy note for details.
